Intern Introduction: Kaston Bonner

Hello everyone,

My name is Kaston Bonner. I am 22 years old, and I come from a small town in Louisiana. Pollock is my hometown, where I have lived my entire life. I have spent my life loving the outdoors. My two biggest hobbies include hunting and fishing. If I’m not at work, you can find me in the woods or on the boat. This is something I have been doing ever since I was a young kid.

I am a recent graduate of Louisiana State University at Alexandria. I majored in General Science and thoroughly enjoyed my time spent there. Now that I have graduated, I was given the privilege of being selected to serve in a 6-month internship with the U.S. Forest Service, in hopes of turning this internship into a lifelong career. I have enjoyed every bit of this internship thus far and know this is the job that I want to pursue a full-time position in.

We’ve been marking “cut” and “leave” on trees for future sustainable timber harvests.
