Intern Introduction: Aiko Goldston

Hello!

My name is Aiko Goldston and I will be the Streaked Horned Lark Field Assistant at the Willamette Valley National Wildlife Refuge Complex in Corvallis, Oregon this summer!

I am originally from San Jose, California and I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a Bachelors of Science in Physiology in 2019.

In this position, I will be conducting nest searches and monitoring of the federally threatened Streaked Horned Lark. I am really excited to gain more field work experience and work with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

In my free time, I like to hike, read, bake and bird watch.  I’m looking forward to observing Larks everyday!
