Hello! My name is Kaitlyn Olson. I grew up in New Mexico and have always had a love for the outdoors and animals! I graduated from the University of New Mexico with a BS in Biology and a minor in Earth and Planetary Sciences. I aspire to pursue a career in conservation or biology in a federal or state entity. In the RAP I will be working as a Conservation Education Resource Assistant in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In the RAP, I am looking forward to learn new skills, enhancing my knowledge in conservation, networking with professionals in the Forest Service, and learning more about the agency and their conservation efforts. Alongside conservation and love for the outdoors, other important aspects of my life include my faith, my family, and my furry family (my golden retriever dog). My hobbies are camping, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, hiking, and playing with my dog.
