15 Dec November Blog Post
This past November I thought I would be my usual day with my ride along partner. A Co-op deputy from the Clackamas County Sheriffs department. But things never seem to just end normally around him. While we were on patrol we had encountered a group of people who called emergency services due to an accident with an underaged driver of an off highway vehicle (OHV). when we came to speak with them. we noticed that very few of them spoke good English. I am by no means fluent in Spanish, however I was able to communicate with them and get everyone’s information so that we could get everyone on their way and get the people hurt, the assistance they needed. I was supposed to be home well before we got the call, but I am here to learn and answer the call to help others in need. I feel that I accomplished a lot over this time that I spent in Oregon and this was a true example of why.
