Mia Sakamoto in Washington State

HELLO! MIA’S INTRODUCTION

HELLO! MIA’S INTRODUCTION

Hi everyone! My name is Mia Sakamoto, and I am one of EFTA’s new RAP (Resource Assistant Program) interns in the 2023 Winter Cohort 6. I am a shared intern working with the U.S. Forest Service’s Office of Sustainability & Climate (OSC) and Research & Development (R&D)’s Knowledge Management & Communications Office (KMC). I just moved out to Washington D.C. in January for this position, and it has been exciting getting to explore the city and meet/work with a lot of great, new people.

I grew up in Seattle, Washington and I recently graduated from Wesleyan University, where I studied Earth & Environmental Science and Studio Art. I am really excited about this opportunity, and I look forward to sharing more about my experience in the future.
