31 Jul Closing Time
This summer has been an outstanding and enriching learning experience. I am very grateful to my friends and family for supporting me and Environment for the Americas for offering this opportunity to get involved with the National Park Service. I was able to lead weekly programs. I had bird walks and junior angler programs. I loved meeting visitors and seeing where everyone was from and how hobbies like fishing and birding can bring people together from all over the country and world. My favorite group I worked with was the organization EVICS. Doing outreach programming with them was very rewarding, and I loved meeting new families and building relationships with the families who came to multiple programs throughout the summer.

I have learned a lot from my experience here, including how to speak up for myself and knowing what I can handle and when I need support from coworkers. I learned how to engage people in different age groups during programs to provide an informative and exciting experience. I have also learned more about the land I am on, appreciate who has cared for it, and acknowledge the history of Rocky Mountain National Park.
Thank you again to everyone I’ve met on this journey, I would never trade it for anything and wish everyone the absolute best in the future! I am so glad that I have been a part of something that makes it so hard to say goodbye.
