Life as a Law Enforcement Officer Intern Part 5

This past month, I had the opportunity to attend a Wilderness First Responder Training in Prescott, Arizona. It was a two-week course that trained you how to perform medical care in the “back county.” I had to learn how to apply splint and make splints only using every-day items in my possession. I also learned how to recognize certain sign and symptoms of medical issues that’s someone may be facing and then applying the appropriate treatment. The training was overall an great experience because I got to do something a little different from law enforcement. This skill can be very vital to know in my career as a Law Enforcement officer for the Forest Service.
