White Mountain Visit

This was a very exciting month f0r me as a Resource Assistant! I was able to be a part of the Public and Government Relations in person meeting in New Hampshire. This was such a fun trip, and I was able to meet so many great people that I normally just see through a computer screen. At first, I was very nervous to do this because I didn’t really know anyone, but everyone was so friendly, and this allowed me to make stronger and more personal connections with my coworkers. I also had never been to the New Hampshire or the northeast in general, and it was more beautiful than I expected. I was so glad to leave my home office and get outside to visit a forest. We spent two days doing normal work meetings and the third day we drove to explore sites in the White Mountain National Forest. I’m very happy I was able to get out of my comfort zone and embrace this opportunity. Besides this trip, some of the things I have been doing are finishing up our Region 9 Volunteer and Services SharePoint site and continuing to create resources to assist volunteer coordinators. August was probably my favorite month so far as a Resource Assistant!
