Meeting Face-to-Face (aka Screen-to-Screen) at Crissy Field in San Francisco

Today I had the opportunity to visit Crissy Field in Golden Gate National Recreation Area. I had the privilege of meeting many of the passionate individuals working at the park and got to walk around the site and take in the birds, bees, flowers, and shrubs flourishing in the native garden beds. I even got to do some bird watching myself and found a surprising amount of excitement and joy and I got to identify the birds I saw; greater scaup, great egret and willard to name a few. I can’t wait to continue to get to know this area and its species better throughout my internship here.
This week, I encourage everyone to go outside, even for a 5 min-walk, and take a moment to notice the birds around you. You might be surprised by what you spot. I know I was.

Till next time,
