May Blog

I have been working on some cool projects with the Web team. My most recent project was updating the Region 3 Guide to Forest Insects and Diseases website. I have enjoyed learning and seeing the pictures of these difference diseases that I do not know how to pronounce. It’s an awesome guide of what to look for when you are out in the forest and what not to touch lol. One thing I learned was Annosus root rot and the Fruiting Bodies of Heterobasidion irregulare arendifficult to find. They are commonly located inside hollow stumps and root cavities. See picture for an example.
