Fish and Feathers Introduction-Marcus Lopez

Hello everyone!

My name is Marcus Lopez, and I will be working at Valles Caldera National Preserve this summer. I was born and raised in Albuquerque New Mexico but have spent the last 4 years living in Colorado Springs where I currently attend Pikes Peak State College. I just completed my second year of my biology degree and plan on transferring soon, to which college I am not sure.

This summer I plan on learning as much as I can during my stay in Valles Caldera. I will be aiding with fishing clinics, and related activities. The Valles Caldera National Preserve offers some of the best trout fishing in New Mexico, and I am honored to not only experience, but also teach others how much of a blessing this preserve is.

Along with the plethora of fishing activates I will be participating in; I will also be aiding one our interpretation technicians in creating a bird by car audio tour. There are sights already picked out along the main road of the preserve, the next step is to go survey these areas and obtain a sufficient amount of information, to provide accurate data for the people using the app.

I look forward to what this summer has in store!
