18 Jun Project: Birding and Fishing Clinics’ with AMME’s Lending Library
Hafa adai yan tirrow and hello!
This past month I have been working on the promotion of American Memorial Park’s ‘Fishing and Birding Lending Library’. My goal is to conduct birding and fishing clinics throughout the month of July and while doing so, continuing to promote the FBLL. This way even after my Fish and Feathers summer internship program is complete, our public community can continue to have resources from our park’s lending library to continue to bird and go fishing within American Memorial Park.
While we have had many other programs for our park this past month of June, I have also been doing a lot of promotions for the upcoming birding and fishing clinics. I got to connect with people through the park’s other programs that our park rangers have orchestrated.
So far, I’ve had a successful birding clinic and again, will be having more birding and fishing clinics. Through these upcoming clinic’s, I will be conducting how to go birding or how to use a spin rod. I will also be advertising how they are always welcomed to come back to sign-out gear if they desire to do so. Overall, I’ll be promoting our park’s birding and fishing lending library so that our community will stay active with just a touch more outdoorsy activities they can do. And, all while raising awareness of our creatures and their habitats here at American Memorial Park..
