HI everyone, I’m new here! My name is Clara Jordan and I am beginning my journey with Environment for the Americas as a Monarch Research and Environmental Education Intern, working with the monarch butterfly conservation project. Click on the video below to see me starting off with an introduction!

Below are a few pictures from my first week of field training where I got to taste all sorts of wild plants at plant identification training and learn Colorado’s landscape a little better.

Prickly poppy in the field while in plant identification training,
Grasshopper hiding in a stalk of goldenrod.
Practicing catching bumble bees for the Bumble Bee Atlas Survey.
The beautiful Hunt Bumble Bee I caught.
Tussock moth caterpillar on a showy milkweed leaf.

Thanks and stay tuned for more EFTA intern adventures!
